Community Builders

Many people talk of building wealth; however, our goal is to prosper in order to allow ProVantage to contribute to others through donations to charitable organizations. ProVantage will donate ten percent of its profits to Christian organizations and will distribute bi-weekly donations to charities selected by our employees. The following charities have benefited from the hard work of the entire ProVantage team:

Bugles Across America

www.buglesacrossamerica.org

Donna Rose, Chairman of the Board, selected Bugles Across America to receive the latest charitable donation from ProVantage. Bugles Across America was founded in 2000 by Tom Day when Congress passed legislation stating Veterans had a right to at least 2 uniformed military people to fold the flag and play taps on a CD player. Bugles Across America was begun to take this a step further, and in recognition of the service these Veterans provided their country, they felt that every Veteran deserved a live rendition of taps played by a live Bugler. To this end, they are actively seeking volunteers to provide this valuable service to Veterans and their families.

Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina

www.foodbankcenc.org

This month’s donation was selected by National Field Manager Jim Haley and is being made to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. Jim grew up in a family with 10 children of which 3 were adopted when his aunt and uncle both passed away from illness within a few months of each other. Jim’s father taught him at an early age about helping others in need even though their lifestyle was modest at best. Jim shares, “I was blessed with a wonderful father and teacher who never allowed us to go to bed hungry.”

Established in 1980, the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is a non-profit organization that provides food to people at risk of hunger in 34 counties in N.C. In 2007-2008, the Food Bank distributed over 31.6 million pounds of food through 870 partner agencies including soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, and after school programs for children.
